WWE Summer Tour comes to the North Charleston Coliseum on Sunday, August 30, 2026. The program starts at 7:00 PM, while the arena doors open at 5:30 PM. For an audience that follows professional wrestling primarily on television, this is an opportunity to see a different rhythm of WWE production: entrances, music, lighting and larger-than-life characters remain, but the energy of the evening is strongly shaped by the reaction of the crowd inside the arena.
WWE returns to the Charleston area for the first time in more than two years. The main highlights of the program are a tag team match featuring CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Gunther and Sami Zayn, as well as a World Tag Team Championship match between The Street Profits and The Vision.

CM Punk and Cody Rhodes against Gunther and Sami Zayn
This match has an interesting structure because neither team is simply a stable partnership. CM Punk is the current Undisputed WWE Champion, while Cody Rhodes was one of his main rivals immediately before this part of the tour. At SummerSlam in early August, Punk retained the title against Rhodes, so North Charleston gets two major singles stars who now have to work together.
Their story with Gunther and Sami Zayn stretches across several important matches. Zayn defeated Rhodes and Gunther in a Triple Threat match at Night of Champions and won the Undisputed WWE Championship. Punk then took the title from Zayn in early July. A few days later, all four found themselves on the same program, and Punk and Rhodes had already joined forces against Gunther and Zayn at Saturday Night's Main Event.
That is important context because every tag can change the tone of the match. Punk and Rhodes can function as an elite team while their interests align, but the audience knows that there is title-related tension between them. Gunther and Zayn also have their own history of conflict. The story is therefore not just about who will hit the finishing move, but about how long four strong individual personalities will accept team discipline.
The current storyline was sharpened further on SmackDown in Toronto on August 21. Punk retained the Undisputed WWE Championship against Kevin Owens, while Zayn interfered in the finish. They therefore arrive in North Charleston with a champion under constant pressure and Zayn once again pushing himself into the center of the story surrounding the most important title.
How their styles differ
CM Punk builds matches around experience, timing, the G.T.S. and the Anaconda Vise. Cody Rhodes shifts more easily into fast attacks such as the Cody Cutter and Cross Rhodes. Gunther relies on pressure, heavy strikes, the powerbomb and the Sleeper Hold. Sami Zayn often changes momentum with sudden combinations and the Helluva Kick.
In a tag team match, those differences become even more visible. It is worth watching who controls the pace, who tries to isolate one opponent and how quickly partner changes occur. Legal competitors, well-timed tags and attempts to cut an opponent off from his corner create tactics that are completely different from a singles match.
The Street Profits against The Vision for the World Tag Team Championship
The second major highlight of the program has a title at stake. The Street Profits, Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins, once again enter a familiar rivalry with The Vision. Current champions Bron Breakker and Austin Theory regained the World Tag Team Championship in early July, just two weeks after Ford and Dawkins had taken it from them in London.
The feud has lasted for months. The Street Profits returned to the story against The Vision after WrestleMania, and throughout spring and summer the rivalry included multiple tag team matches, interference and changes in championship holders. In May, The Vision defended the title against The Street Profits, in June Ford and Dawkins managed to capture the championship, and in July Breakker and Theory regained the belts.
The stylistic contrast is clear. Montez Ford brings speed and leaps from the ropes, Angelo Dawkins gives the team a physical foundation and power, while The Vision responds with Breakker's explosiveness and Spear as well as Theory's more controlled attack. In a championship tag team match, one broken-up pin or one mistaken judgment outside the ring can change the finish.

Additional names on the program
The list of additionally announced wrestlers gives the event breadth, but without published pairings there is no reason to invent matches in advance.
Oba Femi is particularly interesting in the current context. After defeating Brock Lesnar in a Hell in a Cell match at SummerSlam, he continued to enter into conflict with The Vision, and on Raw he found himself face to face with Bron Breakker.
Charlotte Flair remains one of the most recognizable names on the WWE women's roster. Tiffany Stratton enters this part of the summer after a series of matches surrounding the women's titles; in mid-August she lost the Women's United States Championship to Jacy Jayne. Finn Bálor was part of a Fatal 4-Way match at SummerSlam for the position of challenger for the Undisputed WWE Championship, which continues to keep him close to the main storylines.
Danhausen brings a completely different tone. His comedic, eccentric character has been used during 2026 in television segments and live appearances, so he can change the rhythm of the evening between more serious matches.

A television broadcast determines the camera frame. Inside the arena, the story is read more broadly. The crowd reacts as early as the first notes of entrance music, changes in lighting and graphics on the screens. North Charleston Coliseum: arrival and entry
North Charleston Coliseum is a multipurpose arena opened in 1993, with a capacity of up to 13,000 seats before adjustments for the production of an individual event. It is located at 5001 Coliseum Drive, in a complex next to the North Charleston Performing Arts Center and Charleston Area Convention Center. The location is between International Boulevard and Montague Avenue, near Interstate 526.
For the WWE show, doors open at 5:30 PM, an hour and a half before the start. That leaves time for security screening, finding seats and dealing with crowds at the entrances.
The complex's parking lots are located along Montague Avenue and International Boulevard. The arena lists a parking price of 10 USD per vehicle on event days, with payment by cash or card, and spaces are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Designated accessible parking spaces are also available for vehicles with the appropriate permit.
CARTA connects Charleston and surrounding areas, including North Charleston, so visitors without a car can check the current schedule before departure. For drivers, the main reference points are I-26, I-526, Montague Avenue and International Boulevard.
Bag rules and security screening
The arena encourages visitors to arrive without bags whenever possible. Clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bags up to 14 x 6 x 14 inches, a clear one-gallon freezer bag and a small clutch up to 4.5 x 6.5 inches are permitted. Exceptions exist for medically necessary items after inspection and for bags containing baby supplies when the child is present.
Prohibited items include large bags and backpacks, bottles and cans, outside food and beverages, video recording equipment, weapons, lasers and large banners. Re-entry after leaving is not permitted. Food and beverage services inside the arena are cashless.

Brief context for a visit to North Charleston
North Charleston has an industrial and military history connected with the former Charleston Naval Base. Two simple options for a short visit are Park Circle and Riverfront Park. Park Circle brings together restaurants, shops and walking areas, while Riverfront Park lies along the Cooper River on the grounds of the former naval base.
Charleston International Airport is located in North Charleston and is close to the arena complex, which is convenient for spectators arriving by air. Those driving from downtown Charleston, according to the arena's directions, use I-26 westbound and take the exit for Montague Avenue.
