WWE NXT Live comes to Salisbury for the first time
WWE NXT Live is coming to the Wicomico Civic Center in Salisbury, Maryland, on Friday, August 14, 2026, beginning at 7:30 p.m. local time. The venue is presenting this appearance as the first NXT Live in Salisbury, giving the evening additional appeal for fans who want to see the current NXT roster outside the television environment.
The event announcement includes Tony D'Angelo, Lola Vice, Myles Borne, Zaria, Keanu Carver, Kendal Grey, Shiloh Hill and Jaida Parker, with a note that the lineup is subject to change. That is particularly important with NXT Live events: the list of wrestlers may be known in advance, but individual matches and their order do not necessarily have to be announced long before the show begins.

A few days later, Montana further intensified his relationship with D'Angelo and Grayson Waller, while on August 4 Waller clearly turned his attention toward both men.
If D'Angelo competes in a match in Salisbury, his entrance will carry the weight of the current champion and of a character who currently has several possible storyline directions. His opponent, the type of match and any potential title defense should not be assumed until they are confirmed.
Kendal Grey and Lola Vice - a rivalry that has already changed the championship picture
Kendal Grey and Lola Vice represent two very different approaches.
Grey won the NXT Women's Championship on June 28 by defeating Lola Vice herself. Their relationship after that did not end with a standard rematch. Vice challenged Grey to an NXT Underground match, a stipulation that emphasizes fighting without the conventional appearance of a standard wrestling match. Grey retained the title on August 4.
Lola Vice brings a genuine combat-sports background into the ring. WWE states that she trained at American Top Team, competed in mixed martial arts in the flyweight division and holds a black belt in taekwondo. Her style therefore naturally emphasizes strikes, including the spinning backfist.
The contrast between Grey and Vice shows precisely why NXT programming can change quickly. On the venue's promotional material published earlier, Vice is still listed as champion, but WWE's championship records now list Grey. Visitors are therefore better served by following the current situation than relying on event graphics created earlier.
Both are announced for Salisbury, but a new match between them has not been confirmed. If both appear on the program, the simple fact that their recent story includes a championship change and an Underground confrontation gives the audience clear context for their reactions as soon as they make their entrances.
Myles Borne - two kinds of responsibility at the same time
Myles Borne holds one of the more interesting positions in the current NXT hierarchy. He won the NXT North American Championship on February 24, 2026, and on August 4 added another title when he and Tavion Heights won the NXT Tag Team Championship.
That simultaneously connects him with two different types of matches.
In a singles championship match, Borne has to defend his position alone. In a tag team match, the emphasis shifts to partner tags, breaking up pin attempts, controlling one's own corner of the ring and teamwork. That is exactly why the same wrestler can look different depending on whether he competes alone or as part of a team.
His connection with Heights also has an earlier story. The two were friends and training partners, and at the end of June they wrestled each other for Borne's North American Championship. A few weeks later they became tag team champions together. Such shifts in relationships between alliance and competition are typical of NXT, where one result can change the entire direction of the next story.
Zaria - power that changes the pace of a match
Zaria won the NXT Women's North American Championship on June 9 by defeating Tatum Paxley. Her style is based on a combination of explosiveness and physical strength, while the Spear and F-5 regularly appear in her finishing sequences.
Her story during 2026 also includes the end of her friendship with Sol Ruca. WWE states that the relationship fell apart following Ruca's success, and Zaria attacked her in February, clearly changing the direction of her character.
The current title is not the only element of her story. In a match against Women's Speed Champion Wren Sinclair on August 4, she attempted to win another championship, but the time limit expired without a winner. Zaria then responded by delivering an F-5 to Sinclair. If she is part of the card in Salisbury, the audience will therefore be watching a champion who is not limited solely to her own title division.
Keanu Carver, Jaida Parker and Shiloh Hill give the program different styles
Keanu Carver brings a distinctly physical profile. Before professional wrestling he played American football at Temple University, and WWE presents him as a competitor whose performance is built around strength and aggression. However, his victory over EK Prospera on August 4 came with a schoolboy pin, showing that his repertoire is not limited only to strikes and throws.
Jaida Parker comes to Salisbury after a tag team victory with Thea Hail. - Match with a special stipulation - the rules differ from a standard contest. NXT Underground, for example, was recently used in the rivalry between Kendal Grey and Lola Vice, but such a match has not been confirmed for Salisbury.

The facility was originally built in 1959 as a war memorial, was severely damaged by a fire in 1977 and reopened in 1980 after reconstruction.

- Re-entry after leaving the building is not permitted.
- Banners and signs may not be larger than 15 x 15 inches.
Photography rules may vary for each individual show. Small personal cameras are generally permitted, while cameras with interchangeable lenses are not. Visitors planning to bring any larger equipment should check the rules before departing.
Parking and getting to Salisbury
One practical advantage of the Wicomico Civic Center is parking. The venue lists more than 1,000 free parking spaces, including areas next to the facility and additional space across Glen Avenue. Parking is free for most concerts and other events.
For travelers arriving in Salisbury by air, Salisbury Regional Airport uses the code SBY and is located on the Delmarva Peninsula, near the major US 50 and US 13 roadways. The airport has American Airlines connections through larger hubs as well as Breeze Airways flights on selected routes. Schedules can change, so they should be checked for the specific travel date.
Public transportation in Salisbury and surrounding parts of the lower Eastern Shore is provided by Shore Transit. Because evening schedules and individual routes are not the same every day, visitors without a car should check the trip planner and the possibility of a return journey after the event ends in advance.
Salisbury lies on the Wicomico River on Maryland's Eastern Shore. If a visit to the event is combined with time in the city, Downtown Salisbury and the Riverwalk provide the most logical urban context outside the arena itself. The Riverwalk runs along the central part of the city, and the restored pedestrian connection near the Pohanka Riverwalk Amphitheater reopened during 2026.
How to prepare for the evening without guessing the results
The most useful approach is to check the announced lineup once again a few days before the event. The venue explicitly states that the advertised wrestlers are subject to change, and NXT storylines continue to develop during the week leading up to Salisbury.
That is particularly relevant because the event takes place only a few days after the next weekly NXT episode. Championship changes, new challenges or developments in existing rivalries can affect the context of the appearances even if the basic list of visiting names remains the same.
For fans attending professional wrestling for the first time, it is not necessary to know every storyline. It is enough to understand a few current relationships: Tony D'Angelo is the champion around whom new challengers are gathering, Kendal Grey and Lola Vice have an intense championship rivalry behind them, Myles Borne currently carries both singles and tag team gold, and Zaria is a champion whose style is built around explosive power.
The rest can be followed through the entrances themselves, the audience reactions and the way the performers build conflict in the ring. That is precisely the advantage of the live format: the story has to be understandable even to a viewer who has not watched every previous episode.
