On the other side of the river is Newport, Kentucky, including Newport Aquarium and Newport on the Levee. This means a visitor does not necessarily have to stay only on the Ohio side of the river when planning accommodation, food or several hours before an event.
For arrival by car, Heritage Bank Center lists several approaches from I-75, I-71 and I-471. Two garages that the arena itself lists in its arrival information are East Garage at 443 E Pete Rose Way and Central Riverfront Garage at 149 Broadway.
That information is currently not a reason to travel on September 4 because the WWE event has been canceled. It is useful if a new event at the same venue is announced in the future.
Public transportation may be more practical than driving through downtown
Cincinnati also has The Connector, an electric streetcar connecting The Banks, Downtown and Over-the-Rhine. According to city information, the route forms a 3.6-mile loop and has 18 stops. Rides are free.
Heritage Bank Center is listed among the popular destinations along the route. The city states that vehicles in regular service arrive approximately every 15 minutes. On Fridays, the basic schedule runs from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., although hours may be extended for individual events.
For a visitor staying in Downtown or the Over-the-Rhine area, this can eliminate the need to search for a parking space immediately next to the arena. At the same time, the current schedule should be checked on the day of travel because construction work, traffic restrictions or service changes can affect the most practical route.
Heritage Bank Center also directs visitors to Cincinnati Metro for bus routes from the city and to TANK for connections from Northern Kentucky.
Entry rules should be checked again for every future WWE date
Bag rules and security procedures may differ between events. On the Heritage Bank Center page for a previous SmackDown in Cincinnati, the arena listed a clear-bag rule with maximum dimensions of 12 x 12 x 6 inches. Small clutch bags were permitted up to dimensions of 1 x 6 x 4 inches, with exceptions for medical bags and diaper bags when accompanied by a child.
This should not be treated as an automatic rule for every future WWE event. If a new date is announced, the information for that specific event should be checked again.
