WWE SummerSlam in Minneapolis: guide to Sunday's program
WWE SummerSlam is coming to U.S. Bank Stadium as a two-night spectacle, and Sunday's program features six confirmed matches in different formats. Penta versus Chad Gable for the Intercontinental Championship
Penta and Chad Gable offer a clear stylistic contrast. Penta is a champion known for his lucha libre approach, aerial attacks, precise strikes and the moves The Sacrifice and Penta Driver. Gable is a former Olympian, a technical wrestler and a specialist in throws, transitions and controlling his opponent. His signature move is Chaos Theory.
The story goes beyond a simple challenge for the belt. Gable is trying to redeem himself for his previous actions, and he earned the opportunity by winning a Gauntlet Match against multiple opponents. He arrives in Minneapolis as a representative of Minnesota, which could produce a divided audience reaction: Penta has his recognizable "Cero Miedo" identity and strong support, while Gable performs before an audience familiar with his local and amateur wrestling background.
Penta will try to accelerate the action and create space for aerial attacks, while Gable is better suited to holds, takedowns and close-contact wrestling. Because no special stipulation has been announced, the standard rules of a singles championship match apply.
Trick Williams versus Baron Corbin
Trick Williams defends the United States Championship against Baron Corbin. Williams's entrance often triggers loud chants of "Whoop That Trick", making it one of the stadium moments that best demonstrates how much the audience participates in the show. His finishing move is the Trick Shot, and his style is based on athleticism, strength and a confident presentation.
Corbin brings a different energy. He is a taller and heavier opponent who relies on powerful counterattacks, Deep Six and End of Days. He returned to SmackDown in July 2026 and attacked Williams and Carmelo Hayes, then challenged the champion to a SummerSlam match following another attack.
This is a traditional singles championship match. Williams will try to maintain the pace and avoid prolonged exchanges of power, while Corbin benefits from slowing the rhythm and punishing a mistake with a single move. Unlike championship matches, there is no champion here who can retain a title through disqualification or count-out. Both wrestlers must win in order to receive a future opportunity.
Danhausen versus Dominik Mysterio
Sunday's most unusual stipulation belongs to Danhausen and Dominik Mysterio. Their story revolves around money, curses and conflict with The Judgment Day, and WWE has described the match as a "Human Monies on a Pole" contest in which the winner takes the money positioned above the ring.
Danhausen's performance combines comedy, an unusual theatrical character and sudden twists. Dominik relies on provoking the audience, cunning and the moves 619 and Frog Splash. In this stipulation, the usual objective of victory is replaced by retrieving an object from the top of a pole, so the match revolves around positioning and interrupting the opponent's attempts.
Such a match provides a tonal break from championship contests and allows the production to change the pace of the evening. Additional participants or interference should not be assumed until WWE confirms them.

U.S. Bank Stadium and the experience from your seat
U.S. Bank Stadium opened in 2016 and normally accommodates 66,200 spectators. It is located at 401 Chicago Avenue in the East Town district of downtown Minneapolis.
The entrances and details around the ring are easier to follow from the lower stands and floor seating. Higher sections provide a view of the entire production, stage, audience and lighting. Visitors with floor tickets must enter through the Upper Pentair Gate on the south side of the stadium along South 6th Street, where they receive a wristband. It is advisable to secure tickets in advance and check the entrance specified for your section.
All visitors pass through metal detectors, and bags and belongings are inspected at the entrance. There is no facility at the venue for storing prohibited bags, so choosing the wrong bag may require a return to a vehicle or accommodation.
Bag and item rules
A clear-bag policy applies to SummerSlam. Clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bags measuring up to 12 x 6 x 12 inches are allowed. A small clutch measuring up to 4.5 x 6.5 inches is also permitted.

Arriving by public transport and car
U.S. Bank Stadium station is located immediately beside the stadium. The METRO Green Line connects the location with downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul. There is an important current change for visitors who would otherwise use the Blue Line: Blue Line trains have been replaced by buses until August 19, 2026. The Green Line remains operational during SummerSlam weekend, while journeys involving the Blue Line route should account for a replacement bus and additional travel time.
Numerous bus routes also stop nearby. Metro Transit lists routes 5, 7, 9, 14 and 22, as well as the C, D and Orange Lines, depending on the direction of arrival. The schedule should be checked again on the day of the event.
The stadium does not directly operate public parking facilities, although the Stadium Parking Ramp is connected to the building through the Skyway system. Between the stadium and Hennepin Avenue, there are more than 20,000 parking spaces within an approximately 20-minute walk, but availability depends on the event and arrival time.
Rideshare pickup zones are located on 9th Avenue South between 6th and 7th Street South and on 3rd Street between Park Avenue and Portland Avenue. After the show, visitors should expect congestion and possible temporary street closures.
