Asahikawa City General Gymnasium is a multipurpose indoor sports venue in Asahikawa, designed for basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, gymnastics and other indoor competitions. The main arena has 1,494 fixed spectator seats, while its two-storey steel and reinforced-concrete structure gives the building the functional character of a major municipal sports complex. The gymnasium serves as an important venue for local and larger-scale sporting events in the city.
Inside, the venue is centred on a main competition floor of approximately 1,812 m², complemented by four additional sports rooms and a training area. This flexible layout supports a wide range of sporting programmes and provides spectators with a traditional indoor-arena experience, with fixed seating positioned around the main competition space.
The venue is located at 5 Chome-4040-19 Hanasakicho, Asahikawa, Japan, in the Hanasakicho area. Parking is available for visitors arriving by car, although spaces are limited and can fill during major events. Those travelling by bus can use the Hanasakicho 4-chome stop and continue to the gymnasium from there.
