Light Cube Utsunomiya is a modern congress and convention centre distinguished by contemporary architecture incorporating locally sourced Oya stone and a design consortium that included architect Kengo Kuma. At the heart of the complex is a flat-floor main hall accommodating up to 2,000 people, suitable for congresses, conferences, exhibitions, corporate gatherings and other events. A range of halls and meeting rooms in different sizes allows the venue to host everything from smaller sessions to major international conventions.
The interior has been designed for flexible event formats. The main hall can be divided into two separate spaces, features a large screen and can be opened towards the adjoining outdoor plaza, while the wood-accented medium hall with its stage is suited to lectures, ceremonies and musical programmes. Spacious foyers, modern technical infrastructure and multilingual signage also contribute to convenient circulation and a comfortable visitor experience.
The venue is located at 1-20 Miyamirai, Utsunomiya, Japan, immediately beside the east side of JR Utsunomiya Station. The main entrance can be reached in approximately two minutes on foot from the station ticket gates, with the venue directly connected to the station complex. Light Cube Utsunomiya does not have its own visitor parking, so drivers should use nearby public car parks.
