BIGBANG sold out its first concert in Jakarta and added a second date: ticket sales for January 17 begin September 21
BIGBANG will hold two consecutive stadium concerts in Jakarta in January 2027 after the first date sold out during a sales cycle that concluded with the general sale on September 20, 2026. According to an announcement by promoter PK Entertainment, an additional show has been scheduled for Sunday, January 17, 2027, at Jakarta International Stadium, one day after the originally confirmed concert on January 16. The official tour schedule published by YG Entertainment now lists both Jakarta dates, with both scheduled for 19:00 Western Indonesia Time (WIB). This makes the Indonesian capital another stop on the BIGBANG 2026-2027 WORLD TOUR XX : COSMOS where initial demand led to an expansion of the schedule. The new date does not replace the sold-out concert, but instead opens a separate sales cycle for fans who were unable to obtain a ticket for the first day.
The additional concert was confirmed after tickets for January 16 went through several sales phases, including the V.I.P Membership presale, BCA presale, Indosat presale and general sale. IDN Times states that the first date officially sold out after the general sale opened on September 20, while Inilah.com reports that PK Entertainment announced the additional show on the same day. Jakarta International Stadium and the same 19:00 WIB start time, corresponding to the UTC+7 time zone, have been retained for the second concert. The organizer has also retained the base ticket price range that applied to the first day, from 1,550,000 to 6,500,000 Indonesian rupiah before taxes and other fees. For international visitors, this means that when planning their trip they should distinguish between the nominal category price and the final amount that will be displayed during the purchase process.
The second concert on January 17 received a separate sales schedule
According to the schedule published by PK Entertainment alongside the announcement of the additional date, and reported by IDN Times and Inilah.com, ticket sales for January 17 begin on September 21, 2026, with a presale for BIGBANG V.I.P Membership members. This phase runs from 10:00 to 23:59 WIB. The organizer also stated that no new application through the membership survey will be conducted for the additional concert: members who already completed the corresponding application for the original January 16 concert are eligible for this presale. This is an important difference compared with the first sales cycle, in which registration for the membership presale was open from September 7 to 11, while the presale itself took place on September 17. In its official notice for the first concert, YG Entertainment also stated that tickets in the V.I.P Membership presale are sold subject to availability and that prior registration was required in order to participate.
The membership phase is followed by two partner presales. The BCA presale for the additional concert is scheduled for September 22 from 10:00 to 23:59 WIB, and the Indosat presale for September 23 during the same time period. The general sale begins on September 24 at 10:00 WIB and, according to the published schedule, continues while tickets remain available. These are therefore four consecutive sales days, with each earlier phase having its own access rules and not guaranteeing that all categories will remain available until the general sale. Since the first concert sold out, interest in the second date could be strong, although the number of tickets available in each individual phase has not been publicly disclosed in the sources used.
- September 21, 2026 - BIGBANG V.I.P Membership Presale, from 10:00 to 23:59 WIB
- September 22, 2026 - BCA Presale, from 10:00 to 23:59 WIB
- September 23, 2026 - Indosat Presale, from 10:00 to 23:59 WIB

Prices remain between 1.55 and 6.5 million IDR
According to information published by PK Entertainment for the first concert and data cited by IDN Times for the additional date, the price category structure remains unchanged. The most expensive category is Ultimate VIP at 6,500,000 IDR, followed by Diamond VIP at 6,000,000 IDR and Gold VIP at 5,500,000 IDR. Standard categories range from 4,750,000 IDR for CAT 1 A and B to 1,550,000 IDR for CAT 7 A and B. Between them are CAT 2 at 3,750,000 IDR, CAT 3 at 2,850,000 IDR, CAT 4 at 2,550,000 IDR, CAT 5 A and B at 2,250,000 IDR, and CAT 6 A and B at 1,850,000 IDR. The published amounts refer to the base price of each individual category.
IDN Times states that the published prices are also subject to a 10 percent government tax, a 6 percent ticketing platform fee and any other costs that may apply during the transaction. As a result, the final checkout price may be noticeably higher than the amount displayed for an individual category. Buyers from outside Indonesia may also incur additional costs due to currency conversion or card issuer fees, depending on the selected payment method, although such costs are not part of the officially published concert price. In the sources used for this article, the organizer has not yet published a new pricing structure for January 17 that would differ from the first day. Buyers should therefore make sure to check the final amount in the official sales process before confirming the transaction.

Jakarta International Stadium becomes a two-day tour stop
Both concerts will take place at Jakarta International Stadium, a large stadium in the northern part of Jakarta. According to official information from the DKI Jakarta provincial government, the stadium can accommodate up to 82,000 visitors for certain types of events, including football matches and concerts. This figure represents the venue's maximum capacity, not necessarily the number of tickets for BIGBANG, because concert production, the stage, security zones and floor configuration can significantly alter the actual capacity of a specific event. This is precisely why the stadium's size cannot be used to determine how many tickets were sold for the first date or how many will be released for sale for the second. The organizer has not stated the final number of seats sold in the available announcements.
For fans traveling to Jakarta from other cities or countries, two consecutive concerts also mean increased demand for transportation and accommodation during the weekend of January 16 and 17. Jakarta International Stadium is located in a metropolitan area with a developed public transport network, and the city authorities particularly emphasize public transport access when presenting the stadium. Visitors traveling for the concert can compare accommodation in Jakarta for the BIGBANG concert weekend in advance, especially if they plan to arrive from outside the city and return after the program ends. The exact entry procedures, permitted items, door-opening times and any special traffic instructions for January 2027 have not yet been detailed in the sources used for this article. Such information is generally published closer to the event date and should be checked with the organizer.
BIGBANG arrives in Jakarta as part of its comeback world tour
The concerts in Indonesia are part of the BIGBANG 2026-2027 WORLD TOUR XX : COSMOS, through which G-DRAGON, TAEYANG and DAESUNG are marking 20 years since the group's debut. YG Entertainment stated in August that this is BIGBANG's first major world tour as a group in approximately nine years. At the time of that announcement, the plan included 33 performances in 19 cities, but the schedule was later expanded with additional dates in individual markets. As of September 21, the official tour website already lists two concerts in Jakarta, as well as multi-day performances in cities such as Taipei, Singapore, Bangkok, Hong Kong and several Japanese metropolitan areas. Jakarta is therefore not an isolated case of an increase in the number of dates, but part of a broader pattern in which tour capacity is adjusted to demand at individual stops.
The tour began in August 2026 with concerts in Goyang, South Korea. YG Entertainment's current official schedule marks performances in Goyang, Oakland, East Rutherford and Paris as sold out, while the tour continues through Europe, Asia and Oceania and arrives in Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Manila and Kaohsiung in early 2027. Jakarta is placed on the schedule one week after the Kuala Lumpur concert on January 9 and before later dates in Manila and Kaohsiung. Since YG officially publishes local times for each stop, both Jakarta concerts are listed for 19:00 local time. This schedule provides additional confirmation that the new January 17 date has been included in the tour's official international itinerary and is not merely part of a local promotional campaign.
The twentieth anniversary also brought new music
The return to a major world tour is part of a broader program through which BIGBANG is celebrating two decades of activity during 2026. YG Entertainment states that G-DRAGON, TAEYANG and DAESUNG are the group's current three-member lineup, while anniversary activities have included special events for fans, new music and stadium concerts. The digital single "BiiiG" was released on August 19, 2026, on the 20th anniversary of the group's debut, and was the first new group single since "Still Life" in April 2022. According to YG, the tour title combines the designation "XX", as a reference to 20 years of the group's career, with the concept "COSMOS", which describes the connection between the group's and its audience's past, present and future. That concept accompanies the tour across stadium stops on multiple continents.
For Jakarta, however, the most concrete indicator of current interest is the sellout of the first date and the rapid addition of a second. The organizer announced the additional concert immediately after the completion of the first general sales cycle, leaving buyers only a very short interval before the start of the new membership presale on September 21. This also means that everyone targeting January 17 should follow the rules of the specific sales phase for which they qualify, rather than relying on the schedule that applied to January 16. The first concert had earlier presale dates: V.I.P Membership on September 17, BCA on September 18, Indosat on September 19 and General On Sale on September 20. For the second day, the entire sequence has been moved to September 21, 22, 23 and 24.
What has been confirmed for January 16 and 17, 2027
At this point, it has been confirmed that BIGBANG will perform in Jakarta on two consecutive evenings, January 16 and 17, 2027, at Jakarta International Stadium. The first date is sold out, while the second enters its own sales cycle with the membership presale on September 21 and the general sale on September 24. YG Entertainment's official schedule lists a 19:00 local-time start for both days, while local media reporting the promoter's announcement state that the prices and category plan for the additional concert remain the same as for the first. The base price range therefore remains between 1,550,000 and 6,500,000 IDR, plus tax, the platform fee and possible other costs. It has not been officially announced how many tickets will be available for the new date or how many will be allocated to the individual presale phases.
For buyers who are not V.I.P Membership members, the key dates are the BCA presale on September 22, the Indosat presale on September 23 and the general sale on September 24, depending on whether they meet the requirements of the individual partner presales. For existing members who completed the earlier application, the important information is that, according to the promoter's announcement, there is no new survey for the additional day. Since official instructions may be supplemented as the sale approaches, the organizer's announcements and the event's official sales page remain authoritative. Following the sellout of the first date, the additional concert on January 17 becomes a second opportunity for fans to see BIGBANG in Jakarta as part of their 20th-anniversary world tour.
