The Croatian Tourist Board (HTZ) continues to play a prominent role in promoting Croatian tourism, this time at the TTG Travel Experience international fair in Rimini, one of the most significant events in the tourism industry. The fair, held from October 9 to 11, brings together more than 2,200 exhibitors from around the world, including Croatia, which, led by HTZ, showcased a diverse tourism offer through several key co-exhibitors.

Among the Croatian representatives were the Kvarner Tourist Board, the Dubrovnik-Neretva County Tourist Board, the City of Zagreb Tourist Board, Plitvice Lakes National Park, Jadrolinija, Liburnia Hotels & Villas, and the Amber Travel agency. Each of these exhibitors had the opportunity to highlight the unique aspects of their services and products, presenting Croatia as an attractive destination for various types of tourists, from nature lovers to those seeking luxury accommodation.

The TTG Travel Experience fair is not just a platform for promotion but also an opportunity to establish new business partnerships. Viviana Vukelić, the director of the HTZ Representation in Italy, emphasized that this year's fair confirmed the enormous interest of Italian tourism professionals in Croatia, especially considering the successful season that recorded nearly 900 thousand arrivals of Italian tourists in Croatia and over 4 million overnight stays throughout the year. The increase in Italian interest in Croatia is also noticeable in the off-season, with additional growth in arrivals in October.

During the fair, numerous meetings were held with tour operators, travel agencies, carriers, and representatives of tourism institutions. Special attention was dedicated to further strengthening cooperation with Italian travel agencies, and in this context, a series of promotional activities were organized, including a FAM trip for Italian travel agents in the Piedmont region, in collaboration with the Istria Tourist Board. This event, which takes place from October 14 to 18, is designed to give Italian agents a direct insight into Croatia's tourism offer, with a particular emphasis on Istria as one of the most important regions for Italian tourists.

Additionally, HTZ will participate in business workshops in several Italian cities at the beginning of November, including Parma, Treviso, and Verona, where HTZ representatives will meet with key tourism and transportation partners. The goal of these activities is to further increase organized arrivals of Italian tourists to Croatia, as well as to provide updated information on tourism products and services offered by Croatia, focusing on sustainable tourism and promoting less visited destinations.

As a country with a long tradition of tourism, Croatia presented itself at the TTG Travel Experience fair in three thematic sections, alongside over 60 other destinations from around the world. The fair offers an opportunity to showcase the latest trends in tourism, and Croatia has focused on promoting sustainable tourism practices and strengthening relationships with key Italian partners. Special emphasis has been placed on the off-season, which this year has shown significant growth due to the interest of Italian tourists.

Alongside promotional activities aimed at the Italian market, HTZ continuously works on improving the visibility of Croatia as a tourist destination through various marketing campaigns, collaborations with the media, and participation in international fairs like this one in Rimini. Planned activities for the end of the year, such as participation in business workshops and the organization of FAM trips, demonstrate Croatia's strong commitment to attracting an increasing number of Italian tourists and ensuring long-term growth in arrivals and overnight stays.

The Croatian Tourist Board also emphasizes the importance of sustainable tourism development and highlights the need for balanced tourism growth, respecting natural resources and local communities. The TTG Travel Experience fair provides an ideal platform for promoting these values and allows Croatia to present itself as an innovative and responsible tourist destination.
