Valamar has achieved significant business revenue growth of 16.1% in the first six months of 2024, which can be attributed to years of investments in service improvements and portfolio restructuring. Hotels and camping resorts in the premium segment are recording the best results, while the Dubrovnik destination has achieved the highest growth among all Valamar destinations.

In preparation for the season, Valamar successfully filled all job positions. This year, about 8,200 employees are working in their hotels, resorts, and camps. Salaries have increased by almost 20% compared to the previous year, and base salaries for more than 5,000 employees have also risen. Professional positions such as chefs, waiters, and receptionists now have earnings between 1,400 and 2,000 euros net.

Valamar has directed significant funds to the construction of the premium Pical resort in Poreč, which represents the largest single investment in Croatian tourism with a total investment of 139 million euros over a two-year period. The Pical 5* hotel will operate year-round, employing 600 workers and contributing to the quality of tourism in Poreč, Istria, and all of Croatia. Additionally, Valamar has successfully completed the renovation of three hotels and resorts in Rabac, Makarska, and on Krk under the Sunny by Valamar brand and has begun the first phase of construction of the Valamar Collection resort in Suha Punta on Rab.

Valamar continues to invest in strategic projects and sustainable business initiatives during 2024. In cooperation with WWF Adria and the Komiža Fishermen's Cooperative, Valamar procures locally caught Adriatic fish in a sustainable manner, strengthening the cooperative, attracting new fishermen, and enabling further development.

At Padova Premium Camping Resort 4* on Rab, 33 new energy-efficient houses were introduced. Valamar Amicor Green Resort on Hvar received the gold DGNB pre-certificate for sustainable construction of standalone villas, becoming the first such resort in this part of Europe. The Croatian Green Building Council awarded Valamar the Annual Award for Green Building and Sustainable Built Environment.

Further development of sustainable business
Valamar continuously invests in sustainable projects that contribute to the development of the local community and environmental protection. Cooperation with local suppliers allows them to offer fresh and high-quality products to their guests, supporting the local economy. Additionally, Valamar invests in the education of its employees to achieve a high level of service and guest satisfaction.

Innovations in tourist offer
In addition to sustainability, Valamar focuses on innovations in the tourist offer. Introducing new content and services tailored to contemporary trends and guest needs is a key element of their strategy. Valamar's facilities offer a variety of activities and amenities that meet the needs of different guest profiles, from families to business travelers.

Valamar's success in the 2024 season is the result of dedicated work on service improvement, investment in employees, and sustainable projects. Their commitment to quality and innovation ensures them a leading position in Croatian tourism.

Valamar has continued to improve infrastructure and offerings, including the modernization of existing facilities and the introduction of new technologies. Investment in digitalization and smart technologies enables them to optimize business processes and improve customer experience.

In 2024, Valamar plans to further expand its offer with an emphasis on sustainability and innovation to maintain its competitive advantage and guest satisfaction. Their projects set new standards in tourism, making Valamar a recognizable leader in the industry.
