Sudjelovanje hrvatskog kontingenta na 79. Dancon March hodnji u Novom Selu, Kosovo, 2024

Pripadnici 41. hrvatskog kontingenta sudjelovali su 7. srpnja 2024. na tradicionalnoj 79. dancon march hodnji u novom selu na kosovu. Nosili su 10 kg opreme na leđima i uspješno završili stazu dugu 18 kilometara.

Pripadnici 41. hrvatskog kontingenta u NATO operaciji KFOR na Kosovu sudjelovali su 7. srpnja 2024. u mjestu Novo Selo na tradicionalnoj 79. hodnji "Dancon March" 2024., koju je organizirao kontingent Oružanih snaga Kraljevine Danske.

Na stazi dugoj 18 kilometara, s teretom od 10 kg opreme, sudjelovalo je 17 pripadnika 41. HRVCON-a KFOR, koji su svi uspješno završili hodnju. Najbolji rezultat među hrvatskim predstavnicima postigao je natporučnik Ivan Kundid, koji je s vodećom skupinom stigao na cilj.

Osim hrvatskih predstavnika, u hodnji je sudjelovalo oko 1.000 vojnika KFOR-a i policajaca EULEX-a iz Danske, Njemačke, Švicarske, Finske, Poljske, Italije, Slovenije, Mađarske, Grčke, Latvije, Austrije i Albanije.

Hodnja "DANCON March" predstavlja izvrsnu priliku za testiranje psihofizičkih sposobnosti i pomicanje granica izdržljivosti svakog pojedinca. Ova dugogodišnja tradicija danskih oružanih snaga datira od 1972. godine, kada se prvi put održala u UN misiji na Cipru. Od tada se hodnja održava u NATO/UN operacijama i misijama diljem svijeta, uključujući Hrvatsku, Bosnu i Hercegovinu, Afganistan, Irak, Libanon, Latviju, Estoniju, Eritreju, Kuvajt, Mali.

Cilj natjecanja, osim testiranja psihofizičke spreme vojnika i policajaca, je i prilika za međusobno upoznavanje sudionika ovog događaja.
