On Friday, August 1, 2025, as the first dusk painted the sky over the Kvarner Gulf, the Obala kneza Branimira in Novi Vinodolski transformed into an open-air stage, the pulsating heart of summer events. The third edition of the Snovi Vinodolski event proved once again that in this picturesque coastal town, dreams really do come true, intertwining fashion, music, local gastronomy, and unstoppable creativity into one unforgettable evening. The unique scenery, with a view of elegant boats anchored in Marina Novi and with the logistical support of the Burin Sailing Club, created an ambiance that exudes Mediterranean charm and relaxed elegance, attracting numerous visitors and locals eager for a unique experience. Many of them, enchanted by the atmosphere, surely wished to extend their stay and explore the accommodation options that Novi Vinodolski offers.

A fashion runway that celebrates women

The central part of the evening began with a fashion show that was much more than a mere presentation of clothing items. Girls and women of all ages proudly walked the blue carpet, symbolically laid right by the sea, representing different generations and clothing sizes. With this, the organizers sent a powerful message about self-confidence, the beauty of diversity, and the freedom of personal expression. It was a celebration of individuality, where attitude and personality come to the forefront, and fashion becomes a tool to highlight the best in everyone. The audience enthusiastically welcomed this approach, recognizing it as a refreshment in the world of uniform fashion standards.

Carefully selected collections reflecting summer lightness and creativity were presented. Particular attention was drawn to the local brand Mickey Handmade, known for its handmade jewelry and fashion accessories. Their creations, often inspired by natural materials like pearls and mother-of-pearl, brought a touch of personalized elegance. The boutiques La Dolce Vita and Disimi presented collections that exude a Mediterranean style, ideal for warm summer days and evenings, while the brand Hawe showcased its vision of modern and wearable design. The overall impression was completed by glasses from the Rijeka-based brand Damir Tau, whose bold and original frames served as perfect fashion accents, proving that details are what make the difference. This blend of fashion and authenticity confirmed the status of Novi Vinodolski as a destination that recognizes and appreciates contemporary trends.

A rhapsody of flavors from Vinodol and Kvarner

Parallel to the fashion events, Obala kneza Branimira turned into a true gastronomic oasis. The aromas wafting through the air tempted visitors to explore the rich offer of flavors, and the star of the evening was undoubtedly a premiere that delighted all beer lovers. Namely, for the first time in Novi Vinodolski, Drivenik Brewery, the first brewery from the Vinodol region, presented itself with its refreshing craft beer bearing the significant name Kirica. It is a top-quality Pilsner, brewed according to a Czech and German recipe, which has already won a silver medal at a homebrewers' competition and was now available to a wider audience. Its rich taste with a pleasant fruity note was the perfect refreshment for a warm summer evening.

The gastronomic offer was complemented by the team from the company Ekskluziva d.o.o., who prepared delicious fish specialties, bringing the scents and tastes of freshly caught Kvarner fish. At the Marina Novi bar, skilled bartenders mixed attractive summer cocktails, whose vibrant colors and exotic flavors further elevated the atmosphere. However, special interest was sparked by the innovative offer of Tonkine frita. Alongside the classic, sweet version that reminded of childhood, gourmands were completely surprised and won over by the savory versions – crispy fritters enriched with fresh mussels and shrimp. This bold fusion of traditional and modern showcased all the creativity of the local cuisine and was the talk of the town long into the night. Such a gastronomic offer makes every visit and stay in Novi Vinodolski a complete experience.

Music, creativity, and magic under the stars

The entire evening was accompanied by a superb musical backdrop. The rhythm was first set by the band Top of the Pops, whose performances of famous local and international hits got the audience of all generations dancing. Their energetic performance created a cheerful and positive atmosphere, and as the night progressed, DJ Boris took over the DJ booth, continuing the party with dance rhythms that echoed through Marina Novi until the late hours.

The organizers also thought of the youngest visitors. A special creative corner called "Sea in a Frame" was designed for them. In this imaginative workshop, children had the opportunity to create their own miniature underwater worlds using shells, pebbles, and other natural materials. Through play and fun, they subtly learned about the richness of the marine ecosystem and the importance of nature conservation, a message of invaluable worth. Additional liveliness was brought to the event by numerous stalls of local creatives and artisans, who displayed their unique products, from jewelry and souvenirs to art paintings, offering visitors the chance to take an authentic memento home with them. This is another reason why guests gladly explore this region and look for accommodation in Novi Vinodolski to experience its full offer.

The highlight of the evening, at exactly 11:00 PM, was a spectacular fireworks display. The sky above Novi Vinodolski was illuminated by hundreds of sparkling rockets, creating magical scenes that shimmered on the calm surface of the sea. Thunderous applause and gasps of delight erupted along the coast, rounding off this dreamy evening in the most beautiful way possible. Snovi Vinodolski once again confirmed that they are more than just an event – they are a celebration of life, summer, and the unique spirit that makes Novi Vinodolski such a special place on the Adriatic coast.

Tourism desk

Our Travel Desk was born out of a long-standing passion for travel, discovering new places, and serious journalism. Behind every article stand people who have been living tourism for decades – as travelers, tourism workers, guides, hosts, editors, and reporters. For more than thirty years, destinations, seasonal trends, infrastructure development, changes in travelers’ habits, and everything that turns a trip into an experience – and not just a ticket and an accommodation reservation – have been closely followed. These experiences are transformed into articles conceived as a companion to the reader: honest, informed, and always on the traveler’s side.

At the Travel Desk, we write from the perspective of someone who has truly walked the cobblestones of old towns, taken local buses, waited for the ferry in peak season, and searched for a hidden café in a small alley far from the postcards. Every destination is observed from multiple angles – how travelers experience it, what the locals say about it, what stories are hidden in museums and monuments, but also what the real quality of accommodation, beaches, transport links, and amenities is. Instead of generic descriptions, the focus is on concrete advice, real impressions, and details that are hard to find in official brochures.

Special attention is given to conversations with restaurateurs, private accommodation hosts, local guides, tourism workers, and people who make a living from travelers, as well as those who are only just trying to develop lesser-known destinations. Through such conversations, stories arise that do not show only the most famous attractions but also the rhythm of everyday life, habits, local cuisine, customs, and small rituals that make every place unique. The Travel Desk strives to record this layer of reality and convey it in articles that connect facts with emotion.

The content does not stop at classic travelogues. It also covers topics such as sustainable tourism, off-season travel, safety on the road, responsible behavior towards the local community and nature, as well as practical aspects like public transport, prices, recommended neighborhoods to stay in, and getting your bearings on the ground. Every article goes through a phase of research, fact-checking, and editing to ensure that the information is accurate, clear, and applicable in real situations – from a short weekend trip to a longer stay in a country or city.

The goal of the Travel Desk is that, after reading an article, the reader feels as if they have spoken to someone who has already been there, tried everything, and is now honestly sharing what is worth seeing, what to skip, and where those moments are hidden that turn a trip into a memory. That is why every new story is built slowly and carefully, with respect for the place it is about and for the people who will choose their next destination based on these words.
