From this Friday, July 26th, you have the opportunity to enjoy a view of Rijeka from a new perspective - from the sea. On the Riva, next to Botel Marina, there is a tourist boat with a glass bottom, specialized for underwater sightseeing and passenger transportation.

Throughout the day, numerous tourist tours will allow you to experience Rijeka from the sea side, explore its rich cultural heritage, and delve into Rijeka's history, all under the guidance of a trained skipper.

The boat has a capacity of 12 people and offers four attractive tours that last an average of one hour. The price of the trip is 25 euros per person, while for children under 13 years old the price is 10 euros.

If you choose a daytime ride, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., you can choose between several different tours. One of the options is the Torpedo Exploring Tour, which includes a ride to Volosko with a stop at the Torpedo Launch Ramp along with interesting stories about Rijeka's maritime heritage. The panoramic ride from Rijeka to Opatija offers beautiful sea views. After 7 p.m., until 9 p.m., the Dolphin Sunset Tour is available - a ride towards Preluk and Kostrena, known locations where dolphins can be seen, adding a new dimension to the trip. Yachting Training d.o.o. has also taken care of a night tour with a view of the illuminated coast, with special reflectors for night sea viewing, up until 11 p.m.

In addition to the standard tours, taxi transfers to islands and beaches, tailored to the interests and needs of passengers, and transfers to Rijeka Airport are also available. This service provides passengers with flexibility and comfort when planning their trips.

For special occasions, such as birthdays, weddings, or full-day tourist tours, a VIP tour-cruise is also available. This exclusive offer provides a unique experience tailored to individual desires and needs, allowing you to enjoy luxury and privacy during the cruise.

By creating new tourist products, Rijeka is developing a higher-quality tourist offer that attracts visitors and contributes to the development of tourism as an integral part of the city's development concept. The Rijeka Tourist Board together with the Rijeka Port Authority supports these initiatives with the aim of improving the tourist infrastructure and experience for all visitors.

In addition to underwater sightseeing, Rijeka also offers other attractive tours such as a visit to the golden island of Krk, known for its Mediterranean climate and cultural heritage, and exploring the magical landscapes and historical landmarks of Istria, including medieval towns like Motovun and Hum. These destinations provide a unique insight into the natural beauty and rich history of the region, making every trip an unforgettable experience.

For lovers of natural beauty, Rijeka offers tours to Postojna Cave and Predjama Castle in Slovenia. Postojna Cave is one of the world's most famous caves, while Predjama Castle, located on a high cliff, offers a fascinating view of medieval architecture and the legends surrounding it.

Explore everything Rijeka and the surrounding regions have to offer, from cultural landmarks to natural beauties, and enjoy unforgettable moments during your visit.

Tourism desk

Our Travel Desk was born out of a long-standing passion for travel, discovering new places, and serious journalism. Behind every article stand people who have been living tourism for decades – as travelers, tourism workers, guides, hosts, editors, and reporters. For more than thirty years, destinations, seasonal trends, infrastructure development, changes in travelers’ habits, and everything that turns a trip into an experience – and not just a ticket and an accommodation reservation – have been closely followed. These experiences are transformed into articles conceived as a companion to the reader: honest, informed, and always on the traveler’s side.

At the Travel Desk, we write from the perspective of someone who has truly walked the cobblestones of old towns, taken local buses, waited for the ferry in peak season, and searched for a hidden café in a small alley far from the postcards. Every destination is observed from multiple angles – how travelers experience it, what the locals say about it, what stories are hidden in museums and monuments, but also what the real quality of accommodation, beaches, transport links, and amenities is. Instead of generic descriptions, the focus is on concrete advice, real impressions, and details that are hard to find in official brochures.

Special attention is given to conversations with restaurateurs, private accommodation hosts, local guides, tourism workers, and people who make a living from travelers, as well as those who are only just trying to develop lesser-known destinations. Through such conversations, stories arise that do not show only the most famous attractions but also the rhythm of everyday life, habits, local cuisine, customs, and small rituals that make every place unique. The Travel Desk strives to record this layer of reality and convey it in articles that connect facts with emotion.

The content does not stop at classic travelogues. It also covers topics such as sustainable tourism, off-season travel, safety on the road, responsible behavior towards the local community and nature, as well as practical aspects like public transport, prices, recommended neighborhoods to stay in, and getting your bearings on the ground. Every article goes through a phase of research, fact-checking, and editing to ensure that the information is accurate, clear, and applicable in real situations – from a short weekend trip to a longer stay in a country or city.

The goal of the Travel Desk is that, after reading an article, the reader feels as if they have spoken to someone who has already been there, tried everything, and is now honestly sharing what is worth seeing, what to skip, and where those moments are hidden that turn a trip into a memory. That is why every new story is built slowly and carefully, with respect for the place it is about and for the people who will choose their next destination based on these words.
