In line with the plans for enhancing the tourism offer throughout the year, the Tourist Board of the City of Novi Vinodolski has launched an ambitious co-financing program for events that will mark the year 2025. With a total amount of 22,000 euros, these funds have been distributed among 26 different associations, clubs, and organizers who have contributed their ideas and projects to creating a rich calendar of events with the aim of enriching the city's cultural, sports, and social offer.

Development of events outside the summer months

Special attention is focused on events that will be held in the pre-season and post-season, which directly contributes to extending the tourist season. Novi Vinodolski has recorded a growth in interest for content outside the peak of summer in recent years, and precisely this support enables the development of events that have the potential to attract visitors both in spring and autumn. This year, events such as the autumn bicycle rally, which will have its premiere, as well as the already well-known CRO RACE that will once again pass through the city, have been highlighted.

Sports at the center of attention

Sports enthusiasts in Novi Vinodolski will be offered a plethora of excitement this year. Planned are boules and football tournaments, regattas, hiking activities, and numerous recreational events. The city is increasingly recognized as a destination for sports tourism, especially for recreational and professional athletes seeking a combination of natural beauty and sports activities. The increase in support for sports events reflects the city's ambition to develop active tourism as an additional motive for guests to visit.

Motor enthusiasts have their moment

Novi Vinodolski will also host a large number of motor enthusiasts this year. Folklore society gatherings, klapa evenings, and thematic workshops aimed at transferring knowledge to younger generations are also organized. Increasing attention is also given to interactive programs for children and families, which further enrich the tourist experience.

Inclusion of the hinterland and smaller settlements

Events in the smaller settlements and hinterland of Novi Vinodolski have also received support, ensuring a more balanced distribution of cultural content. Celebrations of village protectors, local feasts, and humanitarian actions organized in cooperation with associations and Local Committees further strengthen community ties. The Red Cross organizes seasonal exhibitions of a humanitarian nature, and funds are also directed to technical support for these events – sound systems, logistics, and promotion.
