The Ilok Grape Harvest, a manifestation that has been gathering wine and tradition enthusiasts for 57 years, this year brings three days of rich programs, from September 5th to 8th, during which Ilok will once again become the center of events on the Croatian wine scene.

The event has its roots in centuries-old Srijem and Slavonian customs, when residents gathered during the harvest to jointly guard the vineyards, celebrate a good yield, and socialize, especially the young, who at that time had rare opportunities for free socializing. Today, this tradition is adapted to modern visitors, but it retains its original spirit of gathering and celebration. This year, the harvest returns to the old town center, below the newly renovated walls that were recently restored, further emphasizing the historical importance of the event.

Opening ceremony with musical performances
The first day of the event, Thursday, is reserved for the celebration of Radio Ilok's birthday. The program starts at 9 PM with prize games and warming up the audience, followed by a performance by Vojko V at 10 PM, known for his energetic and entertaining performances. DJ Vixa will continue entertaining the audience late into the night, ensuring an atmosphere that will be remembered.

Friday - an evening of spectacle and fireworks
Friday brings a festive program starting at 8 PM, with a traditional fireworks display that will light up the sky above Ilok and mark the beginning of the second evening of the event. Maja Šuput, known for her dynamic performances, will take the stage at 10 PM, and immediately after her, Grupa Royal will continue with the musical program, ensuring that the evening is filled with dancing and fun.

Saturday - a day for rock and tamburitza music lovers
On Saturday, the event continues at 9 PM with a performance by Neno Belan & Fiumens, who will undoubtedly attract many rock lovers. After them, TS Sanjalice takes the stage, bringing a touch of tradition to the evening program with their tamburitza sounds, satisfying tamburitza music lovers.

Sunday - a day for family and children
The last day of the event, Sunday, is dedicated to the family, with a special emphasis on the youngest visitors. After the holy mass, a children's grape harvest will be organized in the old town center, starting at 11:30 AM. Children and parents will be able to enjoy a concert by Minea, who will delight and entertain everyone present with her hits.

Gastronomic and enological offerings
In addition to musical performances, visitors will have the opportunity to taste authentic Srijem and Slavonian specialties in local catering establishments, visit the wine fair, and tour the famous Ilok wine cellars. Ilok is known for its rich viticulture tradition, and visitors will be able to enjoy the tasting of top-quality wines that have made this region famous.

Free content for all visitors
As in previous years, all event content is completely free for visitors, making this event accessible and attractive to all generations. The event is designed to provide an unforgettable experience for everyone, regardless of their interests, whether it is music, gastronomy, tradition, or simply enjoying the ambiance of old Ilok.

Tourism desk

Our Travel Desk was born out of a long-standing passion for travel, discovering new places, and serious journalism. Behind every article stand people who have been living tourism for decades – as travelers, tourism workers, guides, hosts, editors, and reporters. For more than thirty years, destinations, seasonal trends, infrastructure development, changes in travelers’ habits, and everything that turns a trip into an experience – and not just a ticket and an accommodation reservation – have been closely followed. These experiences are transformed into articles conceived as a companion to the reader: honest, informed, and always on the traveler’s side.

At the Travel Desk, we write from the perspective of someone who has truly walked the cobblestones of old towns, taken local buses, waited for the ferry in peak season, and searched for a hidden café in a small alley far from the postcards. Every destination is observed from multiple angles – how travelers experience it, what the locals say about it, what stories are hidden in museums and monuments, but also what the real quality of accommodation, beaches, transport links, and amenities is. Instead of generic descriptions, the focus is on concrete advice, real impressions, and details that are hard to find in official brochures.

Special attention is given to conversations with restaurateurs, private accommodation hosts, local guides, tourism workers, and people who make a living from travelers, as well as those who are only just trying to develop lesser-known destinations. Through such conversations, stories arise that do not show only the most famous attractions but also the rhythm of everyday life, habits, local cuisine, customs, and small rituals that make every place unique. The Travel Desk strives to record this layer of reality and convey it in articles that connect facts with emotion.

The content does not stop at classic travelogues. It also covers topics such as sustainable tourism, off-season travel, safety on the road, responsible behavior towards the local community and nature, as well as practical aspects like public transport, prices, recommended neighborhoods to stay in, and getting your bearings on the ground. Every article goes through a phase of research, fact-checking, and editing to ensure that the information is accurate, clear, and applicable in real situations – from a short weekend trip to a longer stay in a country or city.

The goal of the Travel Desk is that, after reading an article, the reader feels as if they have spoken to someone who has already been there, tried everything, and is now honestly sharing what is worth seeing, what to skip, and where those moments are hidden that turn a trip into a memory. That is why every new story is built slowly and carefully, with respect for the place it is about and for the people who will choose their next destination based on these words.
