Čavle and Grad Grobnik once again become the center of cultural and recreational events, inviting all lovers of nature, history, and good fun to a unique event – „Hodeć do Grada Grobnika“, which will take place on Saturday, May 17, 2025.

A walk through history and nature

The gathering of participants is scheduled in front of the office of the Tourist Board of the Municipality of Čavle at 16:00 hours. The planned route leads through the picturesque landscapes of Grobnišćina, offering participants the opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty and rich cultural-historical heritage of this region. The walk is adapted to all age groups, making it an ideal opportunity for a family outing or recreational activity with friends.

Arrival at Kaštel Grad Grobnik

Around 17:30 hours, arrival at Kaštel Grad Grobnik is expected, where participants will have the opportunity to take part in a guided tour of this Frankopan castle. During the tour, visitors will be able to view the current exhibition by Ivan Balažević titled „Tragom Frankopana“, which, through graphic maps, displays the rich history and heritage of the Frankopan family.

Gastronomic delight: Potato polenta and Grobnik cheese

After the cultural part of the program, a free autochthonous meal is provided for all participants – traditional potato polenta combined with Grobnik cheese. This gastronomic offer provides an authentic experience of local cuisine and an opportunity for socializing in a pleasant atmosphere.

7th Craft Fest Grobnik

In the evening, within the walls of the Castle, the 7th Craft Fest Grobnik will be held, a festival dedicated to craft beer lovers. Visitors will be able to taste beers from renowned Croatian breweries such as Big Joseph, Brewtiga, Drivenik Brewery, Pivovara Međimurski lepi dečki, Pivovara Morčić, Pivovara Podrum, and Prigradska pivovara. The Old School Band will provide the musical atmosphere, and the Udruga Palentar will ensure that no one goes hungry, preparing traditional potato polenta.
