Das kroatische Küstenpatrouillenschiff Omis nahm an der Militärübung Adrion 24 teil, die im Ionischen Meer und auf der Insel Korfu durchgeführt wurde. Zusammen mit den kroatischen Streitkräften nahmen die Marinen Albaniens, Montenegros, Italiens und Sloweniens teil.

Das Küstenpatrouillenboot OOB-31 "Omiš" der kroatischen Küstenwache nahm an der internationalen Militärübung "ADRION 24" teil, die im Juni 2024 in den Gewässern des Ionischen Meeres und auf der Insel Korfu von der Hellenischen Marine organisiert wurde.

Neben dem Marinepersonal und den Ressourcen des Gastgeberlandes nahmen an der Übung die Kräfte der Marinen von Albanien, Montenegro, Kroatien, Italien und Slowenien teil.

Den Seeaktivitäten ging eine computergestützte Übung "ADRION 24 CAX" voraus. Neben der OOB-31 "Omiš" nahmen an den Seeaktivitäten das italienische Patrouillenboot P-493 "Comandante Foscari", das albanische Patrouillenboot P-134 "Butrint" und die Schiffe des Gastgeberlandes teil: das Raketenkanonenboot P-69 "Lieutenant Krystallidis" und das Logistikschiff A-374 "Prometheus", das als Kommandoschiff diente.

Zweck der Übung "ADRION" ist es, das Niveau der Interoperabilität und Zusammenarbeit zwischen den Teilnehmern durch gemeinsame Schulungen in Techniken und Taktiken maritimer Operationen zu verbessern, mit Schwerpunkt auf der Bewältigung von Sicherheitsherausforderungen in der weiteren Region des Adriatischen und Ionischen Meeres.

Es handelt sich um die Hauptaktivität der Adria-Ionischen Initiative (ADRION), die jährlich durchgeführt wird. Kroatien war 2008, 2014 und 2022 Gastgeber der Übung.

Tag der geschätzten Gäste
Im Rahmen der Übung wurde auch ein Tag der geschätzten Gäste organisiert, an dem der stellvertretende Kommandeur der kroatischen Küstenwache, Kapitän Zoran Medvidović, teilnahm.

Das Küstenpatrouillenboot OOB-31 "Omiš" gehört zur kroatischen Küstenwache. Es ist 43,25 Meter lang und mit einer 30-mm-Autokanone und zwei 12,7-mm-Handbedienungsmaschinengewehren ausgestattet.

Der Kommandant des Schiffes ist Leutnant Dario Javorčić.
