The Croatian National Association for E-Mobility, Strujni Krug, has decided to further expand its free advisory initiative, enabling entrepreneurs not only to implement charging stations for electric vehicles but also to install solar power plants. This strategic move comes at a critical time, given the increasing interest in renewable energy sources and the need for energy independence ahead of the upcoming tourist season.

High interest from entrepreneurs for sustainable solutions

The first phase of the initiative, focused on advising on the installation of charging stations for electric vehicles, attracted more than 130 applications from business entities in various sectors. Motivated by the positive response, the organizers decided to expand the offer to enable entrepreneurs to make a full transition to sustainable business practices. Due to increased demand, the duration of the campaign has been extended until February 18, 2025, providing additional interested parties with the opportunity to participate.

Solar energy – the key to energy independence

The installation of solar power plants has become one of the most cost-effective solutions for reducing energy costs in the business sector. Given the rise in electricity prices and the demand for environmentally friendly alternatives, many companies have recognized solar power plants as a long-term profitable investment. The benefits include reduced operational costs, greater independence from network suppliers, and an improved ecological image for the company.

For entrepreneurs in the tourism industry, such as hotels, apartments, and camps, implementing solar systems brings additional benefits – the ability to offer green accommodation to an increasingly eco-conscious clientele. Moreover, solar energy ensures a stable supply of electricity during periods of high seasonal demand.

Strujni Krug as support in the energy transition

Strujni Krug has been helping entrepreneurs with the implementation of e-mobility solutions and renewable energy sources for years. Through free consultations, the association's experts assist in assessing profitability, selecting technology, and obtaining necessary permits and incentives. In addition, members of the association are offered access to more favorable terms and financial models for system implementation.

Available incentives and financial reliefs

One of the key factors encouraging entrepreneurs to transition to solar systems is the availability of incentives and subsidies. In Croatia, there are various co-financing programs that allow business entities to significantly reduce initial investments in renewable energy sources. Strujni Krug provides advisory support in the process of applying for and utilizing these incentives.

How to apply?

All interested entrepreneurs, especially those in the tourism sector, can apply for free consultation through the online platform. By applying, they gain the opportunity for a detailed profitability analysis, tailored recommendations, and technical support at all stages of implementation.

This is an opportunity for entrepreneurs to recognize the benefits of sustainable energy, reduce long-term costs, and increase the competitiveness of their properties. Given the rising electricity prices and climate challenges, investing in solar power plants and e-mobility is not only ecologically sound but also the most economically rational solution.

Tourism desk

Our Travel Desk was born out of a long-standing passion for travel, discovering new places, and serious journalism. Behind every article stand people who have been living tourism for decades – as travelers, tourism workers, guides, hosts, editors, and reporters. For more than thirty years, destinations, seasonal trends, infrastructure development, changes in travelers’ habits, and everything that turns a trip into an experience – and not just a ticket and an accommodation reservation – have been closely followed. These experiences are transformed into articles conceived as a companion to the reader: honest, informed, and always on the traveler’s side.

At the Travel Desk, we write from the perspective of someone who has truly walked the cobblestones of old towns, taken local buses, waited for the ferry in peak season, and searched for a hidden café in a small alley far from the postcards. Every destination is observed from multiple angles – how travelers experience it, what the locals say about it, what stories are hidden in museums and monuments, but also what the real quality of accommodation, beaches, transport links, and amenities is. Instead of generic descriptions, the focus is on concrete advice, real impressions, and details that are hard to find in official brochures.

Special attention is given to conversations with restaurateurs, private accommodation hosts, local guides, tourism workers, and people who make a living from travelers, as well as those who are only just trying to develop lesser-known destinations. Through such conversations, stories arise that do not show only the most famous attractions but also the rhythm of everyday life, habits, local cuisine, customs, and small rituals that make every place unique. The Travel Desk strives to record this layer of reality and convey it in articles that connect facts with emotion.

The content does not stop at classic travelogues. It also covers topics such as sustainable tourism, off-season travel, safety on the road, responsible behavior towards the local community and nature, as well as practical aspects like public transport, prices, recommended neighborhoods to stay in, and getting your bearings on the ground. Every article goes through a phase of research, fact-checking, and editing to ensure that the information is accurate, clear, and applicable in real situations – from a short weekend trip to a longer stay in a country or city.

The goal of the Travel Desk is that, after reading an article, the reader feels as if they have spoken to someone who has already been there, tried everything, and is now honestly sharing what is worth seeing, what to skip, and where those moments are hidden that turn a trip into a memory. That is why every new story is built slowly and carefully, with respect for the place it is about and for the people who will choose their next destination based on these words.
