Customs officials in Pula seized 1604 pieces of counterfeit products of renowned brands

On July 1, 2024, customs officers of the Pula-Pola Mobile Unit discovered 1604 pieces of counterfeit items of well-known brands such as Gucci, Ray-Ban and Louis Vuitton, as well as football clubs such as FC Barcelona and Real Madrid. Seized products include scarves, jerseys, wallets, and bags.

Customs officers of the Mobile Unit Service in Pula-Pola prevented an attempt to illegally sell 1,604 pieces of counterfeit products of reputable brands.

By conducting intensified control measures in the area of the City of Pula on July 1, 2024, customs officers of the Regional Unit - Mobile Unit Service Pula-Pola discovered a total of 1,604 various items in the sales area.

The found items include scarves, sports jerseys, wallets, t-shirts, bags, caps, belts, and phone cases. All were marked with the logos of reputable brands: Ray Ban, Gucci, Versace, Giorgio Armani, Roberto Cavalli, Police, Cartier, Tom Ford, Balenciaga, Prada, Michael Kors, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, Hermes, FC Bayern Munich, FCB Barcelona, Juventus, Manchester United, Napoli, Paris Saint Germain (PSG), Liverpool FC, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Manchester City, Borussia Dortmund, and the national football teams of Germany and France.

There is suspicion that these products violate the provisions of the Trademark Act, as the sellers did not possess approvals from the intellectual property rights holders.

Due to the offenses described in Article 138, Paragraph 1, Point 5 of the Trademark Act, the owner of the business and the legal entity will be issued misdemeanor orders and fined a total amount of 6,600 EUR. All found counterfeit goods have been temporarily seized.
