Police officers from the Zagreb police department conducted a complex criminal investigation related to violent behavior that occurred in the early morning hours of September 7, 2024. The incident happened in Sesvete, on Selčinska Street, where two men, aged 25 and 29, are suspected of involvement in a physical altercation that led to the injury of two people, aged 41 and 45. According to reports, the physical attack started at the victims' address, where a verbal conflict first occurred, followed by a physical attack on the 41-year-old.

This initial conflict occurred around 6:20 a.m., and the attackers left the scene afterward. Shortly thereafter, the injured 41-year-old and 45-year-old decided to search for the suspects using a car and spotted them on Zagrebačka Street. There, a new confrontation occurred between the four, where the attackers used a tool and a wooden stick to inflict severe injuries on the victims. Police sources report that the injured sustained bodily injuries and were transported to the Clinical Hospital Dubrava. There it was determined that the 41-year-old had suffered severe bodily injuries, while his 45-year-old companion had lighter injuries.

This violent behavior has raised concern in the local community, especially due to the brutality of the attack and the use of dangerous objects. The Sesvete police station, which is responsible for this area, continuously monitors similar incidents and conducts preventive measures and increased surveillance to enhance safety. Furthermore, a criminal complaint has been filed against the two suspects, and they have been handed over to the competent judicial authorities. According to sources, such cases are not rare in the Zagreb County, and the police regularly cooperate with the local community to prevent further conflicts and maintain public order and peace.

The incident in Sesvete is part of a broader context where similar conflicts are increasingly occurring, especially in the early morning hours. The Sesvete police have already encountered several similar cases in the past, highlighting the need for increased engagement of security forces in preventing criminal activities. Such cases often involve the use of weapons or other dangerous objects, which further heightens the danger for citizens and requires prompt police action.
