AI algorithms will be responsible for intelligent routing of data traffic, automatic detection and neutralization of threats, and autonomous "healing" of the network in case of failure. The system is designed for seamless collaboration with terrestrial 5G and future 6G networks, creating a unified, hybrid communication ecosystem that covers every corner of Europe, from urban centers to the most remote rural areas and maritime routes.

While commercial megaconstellations like Starlink and Kuiper offer global internet coverage, they are controlled by private American companies. The first services are planned to be available by 2027, with the full operational capability of the entire system expected by 2030.
